Caribou Hunting Packages

Caribou hunts are based primarily in the Canadian wilderness therefore, there are many camps that offer Caribou hunting packages that will cater to this exciting and rewarding experience.

Imagine stalking this highly sought after big game, shooting it, and mounting the head for a wonderful display piece on your trophy wall.

These types of hunts can make this a reality. There are many different hunting camps strewn all across Canada for this such adventures. Prices vary at each location and these prices which include all licenses and fees, lodging, and guide run in the neighborhood of anywhere from three thousand to four thousand dollars not including travel to the camp from your location expenses. These fees also include the opportunity to fish for trout too.

However, one can not go empty handed. The hunter is required to bring his hunting gear which would include clothing, and their weapon of rifle. They strongly suggest a high powered rifle that has a scope. These hunts typically last one week and have an animal limit of two. Therefore, the hunter may have the opportunity to obtain two trophies.

After an animal is killed, the price also includes the deboning. But, if a hunter would like his kill to be professionally butchered, then this will cost extra. They will however, basically package it up for you and for your trip home. This may allow the hunter to either take it to their neighborhood butcher or do it themselves.

The Caribou hunting season typically takes place during their annual migration which is August to October or early November. Although, the exact dates vary from year to year, be sure to check these ahead of time and plan accordingly. There are many deals that can save a hunter money when going on a hunting trip like this and each and every camp that offers or provides this service offer certain specials. Therefore, check with each specific camp for their specific deals. One guaranteed deal is that of saving money by booking your hunting trip early. All the camps offer this deal in their packages, therefore, be sure to take advantage of this in order to save on the trip costs.

Another aspect is that of the many different types of hunts that these places provide. They not only offer Caribou hunting, but Black bear and Moose hunting is also part of their agenda and could very well be taken advantage of by incorporating a single hunting trip into two separate hunts. Be sure to also bring your fishing pole for the down times and take advantage of the Canadian fishing opportunities also. Therefore, if you, as a hunter, have a Caribou hunt on your mind, there are many Caribou hunting packages that are available to choose from.
